Ingredients
2 cups Doongara SunRice Rice
6 -8 cooked sausages, thinly sliced into rounds
1 large jar Sweet & Sour sauce (like Kantong)
1 can baby corn, drained
1 green capsicum, chopped
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 tblspn oil
2 1/2 cups water
1 tblspn chicken stock powder
Instructions
- Cook rice as per directions on pack with chicken stock powder added to the water.
- Heat frypan and add oil. Saute onions and capsicum until tender.
- Add sausage pieces and heat until warm.
- Add jar of sweet and sour sauce and baby corn. Stir to combine.
- Heat for 5-10 minutes or until heated through and serve over rice for a yummy quick dinner!
Tips
- Excellent meal to have the night after a BBQ or with any left over sausages from a previous meal.
Variations
- Can use chicken sausages or goumet sauages.
- Can add any vegetables or a handful of nuts such a cashews or almonds.
