Ingredients
2 cups Sunrice Arborio Rice
4 cups water
4 cups hot milk
2 cups castor sugar
1 piece fresh lemon rind
cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Bring water to a boil in medium saucepan. Add rice and cover, simmering for 20 minutes.
- Add milk, sugar and lemon rind, stirring constantly until thickened to porridge consistency, about 15-20 minutes (it will also thicken more while cooling).
- Remove lemon rind. Divide amongst individual small bowls and sprinkle with cinnamon if you like the flavour of it. Allow to cool for 5 minutes.
Variations
- You can also use soymilk or ricemilk instead of cows milk making it dairy free.
